BIO
July 4th, 1996. Opening weekend of 'Independence Day'. I was 9. I still remember the buzzing energy at the local multiplex. Lines out the door. Sold out showings throughout the day. Every seat in every auditorium was taken. The lights dimmed, and what I experienced changed my life. It wasn't the film itself but rather the excitement and energy generated in the audience that hooked me. Everyone was clapping, and hollering. I'd never seen or heard or experienced anything like that.
My fascination and passion for the power of cinema was ignited that day. From then on, whether making films with my siblings at home or peers in school, all I wanted to do was tell stories in film and that drive led me to Full Sail University, where I earned my BA.
Cut to now: Emmy-nominated. 10+ years of experience. Extensive work on music videos and narrative projects but primarily in the documentary and commercial space for the last couple years. However, whether large-scale or small, the goal on every project: not only to create imagery that’s cinematic, but authentic and intimate. I love what I do, and I'm both proud and grateful to call myself a cinematographer.
